Surviving a 30 minute EMOM
Thirty minutes of work every minute is as much a test of consistency as fitness. The reps that take 30 seconds in round one can take 50 by round twenty, and then the rest is gone.
Choose a workload you can finish in about 35 seconds while fresh. If you miss a minute, rest through it and pick up again at the next one; your score is the number of rounds completed. The round counter and the beeps keep track, so all you have to do is start on the beep.
Ideas for 30 minutes
- Three stations done ten times each: row, burpees, kettlebell swings.
- Every minute 3 pull-ups, 6 push-ups and 9 air squats for a scaled version of Chelsea.
- An E3MOM with Every set to 3:00 for ten rounds of a longer piece, such as a 400 m run plus 10 thrusters.
