Making 20 minutes work
Twenty minutes is a long time to repeat one movement, so most 20 minute EMOMs rotate. Four stations done five times each is the classic layout: minute 1 is station 1, minute 2 is station 2, and so on, with the round counter telling you where you are.
For heavy lifting, switch Every to 2:00. That gives you 10 sets of a lift with time to rest and reload between them.
A 4-station 20 minute EMOM
- Minute 1: 12 calorie row
- Minute 2: 10 dumbbell thrusters
- Minute 3: 15 sit-ups
- Minute 4: rest, or a 30 second plank
