Isabel workout
30 Snatches for Time
Isabel takes the format of Grace and swaps in the snatch: 30 reps at a moderate load, as fast as possible. Any style of snatch counts as long as the bar finishes locked out overhead, so power snatches are the usual choice. It rewards a fast, consistent pull and a plan for how you will break the reps.

Time cap
Most gyms cap Isabel at about 10 minutes. If the clock runs out, note how many reps you completed. Change the cap in the app before you start if your gym uses a different one.
Scaling options
- Reduce the load to one you can snatch with confidence for quick singles.
- Swap in dumbbell or kettlebell snatches if the barbell snatch is still being learned.
- Cut the volume to 20 reps.
Strategy tips
- Fast singles are usually quicker than sets that end in a missed rep.
- Keep the bar close and finish the pull before pulling yourself under.
- A missed rep costs you the rep and your rhythm: stay a little under your limit.
